Section 42

Section 42 of the SECP Act, 2017 in Pakistan governs the licensing and registration of non-profit organizations (NPOs) to operate as companies.

Section 42 companies are set up to do good they focus on helping people, supporting social causes, and making a positive impact, especially for communities that are often overlooked or in need.

If an NPO wants to register under Section 42 of SECP act, it first needs to get a license from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). This license usually lasts for five years and can be renewed for another five years after that.

Section 42 companies have to follow certain laws and rules, especially when it comes to taxes and how they’re managed or governed.
